Thanks for getting out there and doing this. Remember to consider not just covering from perspective as if you are an audience member -- think about getting up in front and shooting out at the audience for reactions and moments, to provide scope and scale. And get in close, or capture people before and after the actual "event", whether attendees or participants.
I like the very first picture because of the style in it. It allows you to feel as if you were sitting in the room, seeing with your eyes.
